New Work: Witness Annual Report
Harry Pearce and designer Richard Wilson have designed the 2007 Annual Report for Witness, a New York-based charity that uses video and online technologies to open the eyes of the world to human rights violations. Pearce is a passionate supporter of Witness’ work. He is a member of their advisory board and has been producing work for them for the past twelve years.
Inspired by Witness’ use of subtitling in the majority of its output, Pearce and Wilson have illustrated the Annual Report with a series of storyboard-style layouts from Witness films made over the past year. These narratives provide an insight on the individual stories that make up Witness’ output, reinforcing the importance of the raw material that makes up the content of the report.
