Party Down in Texas
One day in 1999 Lowell Williams invited DJ Stout to lunch and asked him if he wanted to join Lowell as a partner in the Austin office of Pentagram. Lowell told DJ that the rumor on the street was that he would never leave Texas Monthly where he had been the Art Director for over thirteen years. DJ said yes, and in January of 2000 he became a Pentagram partner. Now he looks up and it’s suddenly been ten years. My, how time flies when you’re having fun. It would not have been nearly as fun without our great clients and supporters over the last decade.
So on the evening of Friday, April 9th the Pentagram Austin team threw a cocktail party at our office. It was a beautiful night and hundreds of our friends and neighbors showed up to celebrate our good fortune. Austin photographer Woody Welch set up a studio and took portraits to document the occasion. Pictures follow the jump.
Here’s to another ten!
