Black Book Wins 2008 Stiftung Buchkunst Prize

The Black Book has won a prize from the Stiftung Buchkunst (German Foundation for Book Art) in its prestigious annual awards honoring the best in international publishing. The Black Book has been recognized in the category of books not published for the consumer market. The book was designed by Abbott Miller and his team.
Every year since 1984 the Preis der Stiftung Buchkunst has been awarded to book projects that are outstanding in design and execution. In the 2008 awards the Black Book was one of 52 prize-winning books selected from a field of 1,072 submissions, the most ever. The winning books will be featured in a bilingual catalogue and will eventually be posted online at the Stiftung Buchkunst site. Our little Black Book has a big year ahead of it: all books will be presented in 90 international exhibitions, including presentations at the international book fairs in Abu Dhabi, Buenos Aires, Bucharest, Guadalajara, Istanbul, Capetown, Moscow, Taipei and Thessaloniki.
