Caligra is a new computer company that's developing a Linux-based operating system called Workbench, and the C100 Developer Terminal hardware that's designed specifically to run it.

The C100 has been created in collaboration with Pentagram industrial design partner Jon Marshall. Jon and his team worked closely with Caligra to translate the elements needed for a developer-focused machine into clear, functional hardware design. The result is a terminal that reflects Caligra’s commitment to creating tools for people who make and build, rather than simply consume.

The Computers for Experts exhibition runs during LDF 2025 and explains the development process behind both the software and hardware. It features experiments and process from Caligra’s development of the operating system and UI, as well as mockups, models and samples of the computer hardware developed in partnership with Jon and his team at Pentagram.
