Get Out the Vote

AIGA launches a poster campaign that uses the power of design to encourage the public to register and vote in the US elections.

As the heated 2016 U.S. presidential election rolls on, it’s become critical to engage as many potential voters as possible. In partnership with the League of Women Voters, AIGA Executive Director Julie Anixter has relaunched the Get Out the Vote initiative inviting designers to create their own posters to encourage the public to register and vote in the 2016 general election, as well as local elections to come. To help kick off the campaign, Pentagram’s Paula Scher and her team have designed a poster that visually captures the election process as a collection of different voices.

All AIGA members are invited to contribute posters to the 2016 Get Out the Vote collection. The posters are available for download, printing and public distribution by anyone interested in helping to Get Out the Vote in their community. Further details here.
