Matt Willey Donates Typeface to Ukraine Crisis Relief

Preview — Mar 21, 2022

The original typeface LT2 Stencil is available for a limited time, with all proceeds going to UNHCR.

Pentagram’s Matt Willey is making his typeface LT2 Stencil available to the public for the first time to help benefit Ukrainian refugees. The font can be purchased through March 31 with 100 percent of proceeds going to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Ukraine Emergency.

Originally drawn in 2019 for a special issue of The New York Times Magazine, LT2 Stencil is an all-caps typeface with multiple alternate characters. It has been extensively reworked for the 2022 release, and each license includes four weights (S, M, L and XL) for use at different sizes. Desktop and web licenses are available.

The typeface is featured on a unisex, hand-screened t-shirt designed by Willey, also available through the end of March with all profits going to UNHCR.
