Sonance Honored by Exhibitor Magazine
Events — May 02, 2016 Lorenzo Apicella’s exhibit is named Best of 30 Years in the 30th Annual Exhibit Design Awards.
Originally designed in 2007 for the CEDIA Expo, the Sonance exhibit marked the launch of the company's new graphic identity, as well as a range of new architectural in-wall and in-ceiling speakers, both of which were also designed by Pentagram.

The large-scale exhibit is an architectural interpretation of the Sonance mark, squares of expanding size that suggest an increasing volume of sound. The cubes are arranged linearly and skewed on plan for maximum visual effect when viewed from each of the four corners of the exhibit and from neighboring booths. The environment is scaleable so it can be reconfigured to fit smaller venues. The project was previously honored in the 2007 Exhibitor Magazine Awards, where it took home that year’s Edge Award, Exhibitor’s highest recognition for design excellence across all categories.
