Foster + Partners Industrial Design

Repositioning the industrial design offer within the renowned architecture firm.

As demand for industrial design has grown within Foster + Partners, the studio has expanded beyond commissions linked to architectural projects, developing its own client base and collaborating with manufacturers, craftspeople, and startups worldwide

A design language that feels editorial and carefully curated is influenced by the studio’s technology-focused, detail-driven approach and the perfect geometry of the golden ratio. It reflects the humanist design sensibility and future-facing modernist values that are an enduring part of the studio’s ethos.

The new brand identity gives Foster + Partners Industrial Design a clear and confident voice within the industry—one that reflects its dedication to precision, craft, and innovation.

Retrospective: Shakespeare in the Park

In 1954, impresario Joe Papp began a summer tradition of staging free outdoor performances of Shakespeare, inaugurating the Public Theater’s beloved Shakespeare in the Park festival. Pentagram partner Paula Scher, whose relationship with the Public spans four decades, has designed a new identity for the series for thirty consecutive summers. Each campaign is customized to the season’s theme, creating a highly visible graphic vocabulary for outdoor advertising, social media, and on-site signage.
