In-store publication for world-renowned luxury brand that tells the story of their heritage and creative philosophy.

From England with Love is a new 48-page booklet by Mulberry that was designed, edited and written in collaboration with Pentagram. The book tells the story of the brand’s heritage, creative philosophy and dedication to English craftsmanship.

Founded in 1971 by Roger Saul with a birthday gift of £500, Mulberry has grown into Britain’s largest manufacturers of leather goods. From their two factories in Somerset they have produced a series of iconic bags, each known for their use of natural leathers, their shapes and their names - Roxanne, Bayswater, Alexa, Lilly and Cara.

Throughout the years, Mulberry’s blend of Somerset’s countryside style and London’s city chic has been influenced by collaborations with fashion’s elite, including Luella Bartley, Giles Deacon, Stuart Vevers, Alexa Chung and Cara Delevingne.

From England with Love needed to communicate Mulberry’s twin inspirations of Somerset’s artisanal leatherwork and London’s vibrant creative scene. To do this, Pentagram used photography exclusively from their archives, from catwalks to campaign outtakes, fashion shoots and family snapshots.

This eclectic collection of photographs is arranged into chronological sections that chart Mulberry’s meteoric rise. Each section is punctuated by a neon page with spiffy statements about the brand, typeset in a selection of English fonts. Intended as a conscience history of Le Style Anglais, the tone of the book is informative and humorous, stuffed with history and a uniquely British irony.

The booklet is available in all of their stores globally, from Somerset to Singapore.
