‘Inspirational Women’

Editorial design for a book by the National Portrait Gallery celebrating the achievements of women in its collection.

Setting the tone for the whole book, it was important not just to highlight one woman on the cover, but to show a selection of women across all the disciplines and periods featured throughout its fascinating pages.

Throughout the years, many of these women have been overlooked, however, this new title aims to highlight their contributions to society and culture, both in Britain and internationally.

Retrospective: Shakespeare in the Park

In 1954, impresario Joe Papp began a summer tradition of staging free outdoor performances of Shakespeare, inaugurating the Public Theater’s beloved Shakespeare in the Park festival. Pentagram partner Paula Scher, whose relationship with the Public spans four decades, has designed a new identity for the series for thirty consecutive summers. Each campaign is customized to the season’s theme, creating a highly visible graphic vocabulary for outdoor advertising, social media, and on-site signage.
