‘Magnum Artists’

A new book for Laurence King and Magnum Photos showcasing the relationship between the world’s greatest photographers and the world’s greatest artists.

The book features candid portraits of some of the most influential men and women to shape visual culture in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.

The showcase is organised alphabetically by artist, each represented from the point of view of one or more Magnum photographers. The pace of the layout is dictated by the photographs, which, as expected, take centre stage.

Retrospective: Shakespeare in the Park

In 1954, impresario Joe Papp began a summer tradition of staging free outdoor performances of Shakespeare, inaugurating the Public Theater’s beloved Shakespeare in the Park festival. Pentagram partner Paula Scher, whose relationship with the Public spans four decades, has designed a new identity for the series for thirty consecutive summers. Each campaign is customized to the season’s theme, creating a highly visible graphic vocabulary for outdoor advertising, social media, and on-site signage.
