Pentagram

Viren

Naming, strategy and brand identity for a new high-performance activewear and loungewear apparel brand.

After Pentagram’s in-depth research phase, it became clear that brands in this space needed to go beyond the expected social media campaign or influencer-driven marketing approach, and instead insist on quality and clarity at every stage.

The simplicity of the symbol and the way it perfectly embeds within the wordmark, provides the flexibility to stand out in all variations and positions on the garments, as well as creating a highly consistent user experience across all touch points.

Retrospective: Shakespeare in the Park

In 1954, impresario Joe Papp began a summer tradition of staging free outdoor performances of Shakespeare, inaugurating the Public Theater’s beloved Shakespeare in the Park festival. Pentagram partner Paula Scher, whose relationship with the Public spans four decades, has designed a new identity for the series for thirty consecutive summers. Each campaign is customized to the season’s theme, creating a highly visible graphic vocabulary for outdoor advertising, social media, and on-site signage.
