Woodgreen

A new identity for the pet charity that focuses on helping both pets and their owners.

Established in North London in 1924, Woodgreen provides a safe haven for vulnerable pets in need of urgent care or a loving new home.

The brand strategy needed to reflect Woodgreen’s unique position and focus on the bond between pets and people.

At the centre of the brand identity, the team created a heartwarming symbol that captures the unbreakable bond between animals and humans.

Pentagram was asked to create a brand that would represent Woodgreen in a clear and compelling way, and one that would inspire volunteers and staff to help effectively communicate the full range of Woodgreen’s services.

This all combines to create a brand that will help Woodgreen clearly communicate its key values, of compassion towards animals and their humans and the societal benefits that this special relationship can bring.

Retrospective: Shakespeare in the Park

In 1954, impresario Joe Papp began a summer tradition of staging free outdoor performances of Shakespeare, inaugurating the Public Theater’s beloved Shakespeare in the Park festival. Pentagram partner Paula Scher, whose relationship with the Public spans four decades, has designed a new identity for the series for thirty consecutive summers. Each campaign is customized to the season’s theme, creating a highly visible graphic vocabulary for outdoor advertising, social media, and on-site signage.
