‘Yves Klein at Blenheim Palace’

Book Design

Book that accompanies a new exhibition about the influential artist.

Yves Klein is one of the most influential artists of his generation, his pioneering artistic experiments anticipated and inspired movements in conceptual art, minimalism and performance art.

Klein is best known for the development of his own vivid ultramarine pigment, International Klein Blue, which became a symbolic part of his practice, a key to reaching the ‘infinite’ and ‘sublime’ through pure colour.

His remarkable legacy is explored in a new exhibition by the Blenheim Art Foundation, ‘Yves Klein at Blenheim Palace’. Featuring over 50 artworks, this will be the most comprehensive UK-based exhibition of his work to date.

Pentagram has designed the corresponding book that accompanies the exhibition. The beautifully produced volume documents the artworks in the show and explores Klein’s wide-ranging practice, providing an in-depth look at the artist and his impact.

‘Yves Klein at Blenheim Palace’, which was produced in collaboration with the Yves Klein Archives, marks what would have been Klein’s ninetieth birthday.
