Pentagram designed the campaign for the 2014 Expo, combining the circular forms of a manhole cover with the bicycle wheel

Presented at Pier 36 on the Friday and Saturday before the 2014 Tour, Bike Expo New York (BE NY) is an annual celebration of urban cycling and everything bicycle related, held by Bike New York. The 2013 edition attracted more than 100 exhibitors and 50,000 attendees, making it the most-attended consumer bike expo in the US. Pentagram designed the campaign for the 2014 Expo, combining the circular forms of a manhole cover with the bicycle wheel. (Unused concepts included other everyday New York objects like a pizza and the wheel of a taxi.) We also created a full program of graphics for the event space, including signs and banners and the badges worn by attendees.
