Brand identity and environmental graphics for a new exhibition and conference centre in Doha, Qatar.

Pentagram was asked to create the brand identity and environmental graphics for The Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) is a state-of-the-art convention centre, which opened in 2015.

Pentagram decided to reflect the centre’s modular nature in DECC’s visual identity. The logotype is displayed in one of five frames, each of which is a different shape that references the arabesque patterns found on the venue’s facades.

Retrospective: Shakespeare in the Park

In 1954, impresario Joe Papp began a summer tradition of staging free outdoor performances of Shakespeare, inaugurating the Public Theater’s beloved Shakespeare in the Park festival. Pentagram partner Paula Scher, whose relationship with the Public spans four decades, has designed a new identity for the series for thirty consecutive summers. Each campaign is customized to the season’s theme, creating a highly visible graphic vocabulary for outdoor advertising, social media, and on-site signage.
