‘Massimo Vignelli Makes Books’

Video and accompanying book inspired by Massimo Vignelli, for the "What Will You Make Today?" campaign.

The video is accompanied by a small journal, available from Mohawk while supplies last.
The grid is embossed in the front and back cover of the book.

The interior pages of the journal feature the grid of 24 rectangular blocks that Vignelli used as the basis of his layout for the Meier monograph, as seen in the video.

The opening spread features a quote by Vignelli and the pages reproduce his grid.

Retrospective: Shakespeare in the Park

In 1954, impresario Joe Papp began a summer tradition of staging free outdoor performances of Shakespeare, inaugurating the Public Theater’s beloved Shakespeare in the Park festival. Pentagram partner Paula Scher, whose relationship with the Public spans four decades, has designed a new identity for the series for thirty consecutive summers. Each campaign is customized to the season’s theme, creating a highly visible graphic vocabulary for outdoor advertising, social media, and on-site signage.
