M&T Bank, Brooklyn

Interiors & Architecture, Signage & Environmental Graphics

Interior design for the 4,500 sq ft branch building in East New York, Brooklyn.

Pentagram has worked with M&T Bank since 2008 to develop a distinctive brand language for the bank and its branches, to help set M&T apart from its competitors and to create a 360-degree experience of the brand. The architecture, interiors and wayfinding demonstrate the core values of M&T with a forward-looking design that communicates both openness and security.

In 2011, Pentagram designed the interiors of the 4,500 sq ft building, built by William F. Collins Architects, located on the corner of Atlantic Avenue and New Jersey Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn. Like M&T's other branches, this branch is constructed to Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) standards as established by the U.S. Green Building Council. Additionally, it uses the bank's design language created by Pentagram and established in all of its branches.
