Nike World Headquarters

Signage and wayfinding program for the sportswear company’s corporate campus in Beaverton, Oregon.

Nike needed a cohesive system that would visually connect the huge campus and help create a sense of place.

The program draws on the 26-degree angle of the brand’s iconic swoosh and the chevron motif of its famous Windrunner apparel.

The signage brings the angle to life in the pattern of perforated mesh that covers two sides of the box-like structures, creating a dynamic optical effect that resonates with the Nike brand.

The angle carries through to redesigned maps for the campus and transportation system and a series of custom icons.

Retrospective: Shakespeare in the Park

In 1954, impresario Joe Papp began a summer tradition of staging free outdoor performances of Shakespeare, inaugurating the Public Theater’s beloved Shakespeare in the Park festival. Pentagram partner Paula Scher, whose relationship with the Public spans four decades, has designed a new identity for the series for thirty consecutive summers. Each campaign is customized to the season’s theme, creating a highly visible graphic vocabulary for outdoor advertising, social media, and on-site signage.
