‘No Man's Land’ Issue 04

The biannual publication from The Wing broadens its focus with a special Issues Issue.

No Man's Land’ gets serious with the special “Issues Issue,” touching on topics like politics, racism, immigration, abortion, work and death.

The pages make the most of the loose, relaxed grid, and brighter colors and more playful typography add a new energy.

Like the magazine, NML’s design is growing up and becoming more confident in its voice.

Retrospective: Shakespeare in the Park

In 1954, impresario Joe Papp began a summer tradition of staging free outdoor performances of Shakespeare, inaugurating the Public Theater’s beloved Shakespeare in the Park festival. Pentagram partner Paula Scher, whose relationship with the Public spans four decades, has designed a new identity for the series for thirty consecutive summers. Each campaign is customized to the season’s theme, creating a highly visible graphic vocabulary for outdoor advertising, social media, and on-site signage.
