The solution was both simple and symbolic: a shift to the streamlined name ‘SC’. The new typographic logo draws inspiration from the kernel at the centre of a flower from which it grows, adapts and endures.
It speaks to the company’s belief in long-term value and infinite potential. A mark designed to stand alone and sit comfortably beside sub-brands.
The colour palette reflects this sense of optimism and renewal. SC’s trademark orange remains at the heart of the brand, but has been subtly desaturated and joined by soft pinks and warm neutrals inspired by the changing tones of a sunrise.
A bespoke complementary Thai typeface was developed to sit seamlessly alongside the Latin script. Carefully matched in weight and character, both ensure the brand speaks with a unified voice across languages.
Supporting the identity is a family of patterns derived from the SC mark itself.
One set takes inspiration from phyllotaxis, the spiral growth arrangement found in leaves and flowers, creating an ever-changing system that expands and adapts across applications. The other is more structured and precise: an interlocking pattern reserved for moments that call for refinement and restraint.
Simple line drawings and typographic compositions can be introduced to enable the brand to feel playful in one moment and refined in the next.
SC Asset is one of Thailand’s leading property developers. Known for shaping both commercial landmarks and sought-after homes, the company has built its reputation in the premium and luxury markets. Its ambition is rooted in “Living Solutions” with development designed not just for today, but for the way people want to live tomorrow, combining thoughtful design, everyday convenience and a commitment to sustainability.
As the business evolved, so too did the expectations of its customers. An increasingly sophisticated, design-literate customer base required a clearer and more cohesive brand expression. To meet this need, SC Asset partnered with Pentagram to create a new identity which brings its commercial and residential sub-brands together under a single, confident voice. There was also a practical challenge to overcome, as despite. Its scale and success, SC Asset was often mistaken for a financial services company. The solution was both simple and symbolic: a shift to the streamlined name ‘SC’. SC’s trademark orange remains at the heart of the brand, but has been subtly desaturated and joined by soft pinks and warm neutrals inspired by the changing tones of a sunrise. To further elevate use of colour in brand application. Abstracted imagery of flowers and plants, softened by a subtle layer of noise are used as a base texture to introduce depth and tactility to the colour space. The effect is warm and elevated, but never distant.
The primary typeface, Brut Grotesque by Bureau Brut, provides a distinctive yet versatile foundation, balancing clarity with warmth. In collaboration with Bureau Brut and Boom Type’s Promphan Suksumek, a bespoke complementary Thai typeface was developed to sit seamlessly alongside the Latin script. Carefully matched in weight and character, both ensure the brand speaks with a unified voice across languages.
Illustration and illustrative type add another human touch to the system. Simple line drawings and typographic compositions can be introduced to enable the brand to feel playful in one moment and refined in the next, helping to tell the stories behind the spaces, of the everyday rituals, aspirations and personalities of the people who live and work within them.
Supporting the identity is a family of patterns derived from the SC mark itself. One set takes inspiration from phyllotaxis, the spiral growth arrangement found in leaves and flowers, creating an ever-changing system that expands and adapts across applications, from bold supergraphics to delicate overlays. The other is more structured and precise: an interlocking pattern reserved for moments that call for refinement and restraint. Together, these elements form an enduring toolkit for a visual identity designed to evolve alongside the communities SC continues to build.
