Grace Farms

Brand identity and wayfinding for the social and cultural institution on 80 acres of nature in New Canaan, Connecticut.

The full identity system includes a mark, a dedicated color palette and a series of custom icons.

The wordmark takes its cues from the delicate architecture of the building and the goals of the organization.

Signs are made of aluminum panels with a chrome center and legs.
The sleek form of the signage is set off by the landscape.

The identity provides the basis for a carefully calibrated graphic system that bridges the built environment and the natural world and displays openness, accessibility and, of course, grace.

Grace Farms' online presence is similarly designed to be clean, clear and accessible and to highlight the programming and initiatives.

The homepage of the Grace Farms website features a video that gives a sense of the environment and architecture.
The online presence is designed to give a view into the one-of-a-kind center and its multi-faceted programs and initiatives.

Retrospective: Shakespeare in the Park

In 1954, impresario Joe Papp began a summer tradition of staging free outdoor performances of Shakespeare, inaugurating the Public Theater’s beloved Shakespeare in the Park festival. Pentagram partner Paula Scher, whose relationship with the Public spans four decades, has designed a new identity for the series for thirty consecutive summers. Each campaign is customized to the season’s theme, creating a highly visible graphic vocabulary for outdoor advertising, social media, and on-site signage.
