‘OfficeUS Manual’

A guide to the American architectural workplace over the past century, the third book in the series originated by the Storefront for Art and Architecture.

The book offers insight into how office life at architecture firms has changed over the past 100 years―and how much it has remained the same.

The designers worked with the editors to devise a strong graphic system that would help organize the large amount of content.

For easy comparison, each spread juxtaposes past and present procedures across its pages.

Retrospective: Shakespeare in the Park

In 1954, impresario Joe Papp began a summer tradition of staging free outdoor performances of Shakespeare, inaugurating the Public Theater’s beloved Shakespeare in the Park festival. Pentagram partner Paula Scher, whose relationship with the Public spans four decades, has designed a new identity for the series for thirty consecutive summers. Each campaign is customized to the season’s theme, creating a highly visible graphic vocabulary for outdoor advertising, social media, and on-site signage.
