Beautiful Symmetry: Pentagram’s new website for Isomorphic Labs creates a new visual language for digital biology.

The notion of a remarkable symmetry between the digital and biological propelled the creative partnership between Isomorphic Labs and Pentagram.

The visual language is led by the balletic movement of digital cubes that endlessly reconfigure into new structures, tireless in their pursuit of a state of mirroring with the natural world.

Alongside evolving the brand system’s colour palette, gradients and a set of icons to work with the typography, Pentagram refined the existing logo and created a dynamic symbol animation. The entire identity is scaffolded by an underlying informational grid.

Retrospective: Shakespeare in the Park

In 1954, impresario Joe Papp began a summer tradition of staging free outdoor performances of Shakespeare, inaugurating the Public Theater’s beloved Shakespeare in the Park festival. Pentagram partner Paula Scher, whose relationship with the Public spans four decades, has designed a new identity for the series for thirty consecutive summers. Each campaign is customized to the season’s theme, creating a highly visible graphic vocabulary for outdoor advertising, social media, and on-site signage.
