‘Stanley Kubrick: The Exhibition’

Three-dimensional design, exhibition graphics, identity design, marketing campaign and entrance film for the Design Museum’s new Stanley Kubrick retrospective.

‘Stanley Kubrick: The Exhibition’ is a window into the passion Kubrick poured into every aspect of the film-making process.

Pentagram has drawn upon their vast experience in designing for the arts and culture sector, to create a space that’s filled with subtle and not-so-subtle Kubrick references.

Presenting each film within its own world, the exhibition design highlights the diverse palette of interests that Kubrick drew from to create his films.

Retrospective: Shakespeare in the Park

In 1954, impresario Joe Papp began a summer tradition of staging free outdoor performances of Shakespeare, inaugurating the Public Theater’s beloved Shakespeare in the Park festival. Pentagram partner Paula Scher, whose relationship with the Public spans four decades, has designed a new identity for the series for thirty consecutive summers. Each campaign is customized to the season’s theme, creating a highly visible graphic vocabulary for outdoor advertising, social media, and on-site signage.
